Managed to find that one croissant cafe that i went to with nicole & got a chocolate croissant, a tiramisu croissant & a white hot chocolate. Good stuff.
Contrary to Hakodate, all the snow on the roads and pavement were melting in Sapporo, which was a big shock.
Last time i went to Sapporo with Nicole, we failed to notice the pokemon center beside the station... so i went this time :p
We had to wait for everyone to get there first, then we went to odori park to observe all the snow sculptures.
There were so many food venders and it was super nice.
The snow scultures were very nice and a few of them were humongous. No matter what i say, words cannot express how blown away i was from seeing them.
The disney one was great! they used the lights to paint the snow sculpture.
Oh.. and there was also hot chocolate with amaretto.. hehehe
We all went in for Ramen near the station. on the 10th floor of the Esta building, there was a Ramen town. Had a butter corn ramen.. was very nice :)
I later met up with friend, Kentaro whom i met in Calgary and we went for drinks with his friends.
Unlike Ramin & courtney, i was really tipsy but i found my way to the hotel no problem, whereas the other two got lost apparently... and i came from susukino this time so i had no idea where i was going at first : p.
Got to the hotel and we all slept in that one room on our futons.
In the morning everyone scattered. Last time, Nicole and i didn't get a chance to go to this big mall in Sapporo call Sapporo factory. I went this time.
It was really big. I was looking for a place to have lunch there and i noticed there was a soup curry place and a ramen place beside each other. On the way there, i noticed a buffet place that had a chocolate fountain and caramel flan, lots of pasta and drinks. 980yen... so naturally, i went for it :p and it was worth it. I was so full...
Later that night i went to Otaru. There was a lantern festival there.
There was a chicken place next door that smelled SOOO good but they ran out by the time i got there :(. Lots of fresh seafood places nearby tho.
Went back to Sapporo to observe the ice sculptures in Susukino. I got the "Oi, Oi Hokkaido" song stuck in my head after being there haha.
Got back to Hakodate in the morning... and kinda sad i didn't spend more time in Sapporo but i was broke haha spent too much money on this trip... gotta save up for... Destination Kansai next :)
Haha, those are some tame pidgeons XD
