Field trip!!

So today we went on a field trip. Group was made up of international students, the TAs & Muto-san. I was really iffy about it at first to be honest. We had to wake up early... i was REALLY sleepy... & this weekend is all bad weather. First stop we went to was a place with a geyser. It was cool, we arrived at we saw the ocean next to us..... and the sea was freaking crazy..... Waves were huge.. we made a few tsunami jokes here and there..

When we entered the place... the geyser shot up.. and what stopped it looked like a trampoline... so we were all laughing at that.

Next to it was a little area with hot water where you can sit and have a little foot bath. it was really nifty!

it wasn't long until we all jumped in. haha and while sitting in the footbath, you can watch the geyser shoot up once in a while. i did not want to leave this place...  i will be back one day :P

The next stop was a little shop that sold apples & apple products. it also had a cool looking dinning room. We went in, put on our stylish aprons

& went to the back. There were several work tables and we started making apple pie. it was pretty nifty. you also get to decorate yours the way you want.

After that, we made some soba... from scratch. I was so bad at it haha. The machine used for cutting the soba was really cool.

My grandma made noodles for a living so it was pretty interesting for me. We ate the soba after and it was delicious. You dip the cold soba in some sauce with green onion and wasabi.

Pat ate like... 6 plates... i believe.

Next spot we went to was goryokaku park & goryokaku tower. Inside the park, there is a museum. We went in and it looked like some kind of ninja house. hidden areas above the rooms. random stairs in the walls.... it was really cool!

We went to the tower next and it was nice to see the park from above. you can see various things from up top actually & i really enjoyed it. Too bad i did not get to try the gelato they had there ^^".
